Cat Supplies
Now that you have your new cat or kitten, it is time to think
about what kinds of cat supplies that he or she needs. Sometimes
people can get carried away and purchase way more than their kitty
really has to have. So, what are the supplies that your cat or
kitten must have? Here's the list:
 | Your cat must have dishes for food and water. They don't
have to be very fancy but they should be big enough to
accommodate the size of your cat. Of course, it's nice to have
them match your kitchen (or wherever you feed your cats).
|
 | Indoor cats will have to have a litter tray and litter for
their potty breaks. Choose a larger litter tray so that the
litter doesn't fly everywhere when Princess is digging. There
are also litter pans that have covers over them. Some cats
tolerate them quite well.
|
 | Traveling supplies - You will need some way to carry your
cat or kitten for trips to the vet. You might have to do other
traveling too so a cat carrier is also a necessity.
|
 | Grooming supplies - Your kitten will love to be brushed and
it will help prevent hairballs. So, you will need some kind of a
brush to brush her with. The costs range from just a few dollars
to very costly. You should choose a brush that will last for a
while but it doesn't need to be the most expensive. You may also
want to get nail clippers, although it may be better if you ask
your veterinarian to clip toenails. It's just too easy to injure
a cat when clipping his nails.
|
 | Toys - I believe that having toys for your kitty to be
must-have items. They need something to amuse themselves with
when you are too busy to play with them. Of course, you can play
with kitty with his toys too :) You don't need to have a
lot of toys laying around thought. Your cat will choose his
favorites; the rest can be put away for another time. |
Cat supplies can be an expensive proposition if you get carried
away. We all love our cats so we usually buy them lots of goodies to
play with - or to sleep on. You might want to buy your cat a bed but
I doubt it will get much use. He'll usually be on yours!
